Who is behind this site

Hello. My name is Martin Sheerin.

I have been interested in RC planes for as long as I can remember. I suppose it all goes back to watching my older brother build and fly a rubber band powered, tissue paper covered, balsa plane. But growing up there were no resources – no flying field, no simulators, no one with the knowledge to help cultivate the interest. But, later in life, in my ’50’s, when I saw that “yellow bird” soar over Medicine Lake in Northern Wisconsin in the late-evening sun it looked so beautiful, I knew I was hooked all over again!

So, I started a Facebook group “RC Planes for Beginners” as I wanted to elaborate more on the issues that I see people are having. Hence this website!
